— Risk,
Redesigned

Project
Home is where most accidents happen, a statistic IKEA took seriously enough to act on. The brief was to design a digital product that could translate safety expertise into something families would actually use: personal, engaging, and built to grow with the household over time.
Working in agile, cross-functional teams alongside safety experts, we created a personalised app experience that guides users through common household hazards, surfacing targeted advice based on a child's developmental stage and tracking progress with reminders over time. The design system balanced IKEA's visual language with the clarity requirements of a product built around behavioural change.
The IKEA Safer Home app launched across Iceland, Australia, and selected cities in the U.S., a proof of concept for how design-led thinking can shift behaviour at scale, operating well beyond the traditional boundaries of a product brief.
